Legalisation

My Notary Signature And Seal Legalises Documents.

Legalisation of Documents

For most parts of the world, you will have to sign a document in front of a Notary and have it legalised, although for many countries, the signature and seal of a Notary is sufficient for the document to be accepted there.

Legalisation is required in Europe, some states in the USA and most other parts of the world. Often an Apostille is all you need to satisfy the legal requirements. An Apostille is a certificate issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office confirming that I am a Notary.

In some cases documents have to be legalised at the embassy or consulate of the relevant country as well as being Apostilled. In other cases, a document only has to be legalised at the embassy. I will advise on each country’s specific requirements.

You can deal with legalisation yourself by making an application online and posting your documents to the Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes. Alternatively, you can instruct me to assist you.

I can apply for legalisation of documents at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, obtaining an Apostille, and for legalisation where necessary from the relevant embassy.

I have access to a Premium Service that offers a same day service for certain matters for business customers only. Otherwise I use an agent to attend the Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes, the processing time being approximately 3 working days and Legalisation and Agent’s fees are payable.
